I am going to make a point of reading these banned and challenged books, if only to understand where on the continuum they belong in my children’s hands. How about you? How do you feel about banned or challenged books? Please comment!
Thank you, as always, for the adorable pictures of kids so very happily reading! I hope they inspire your kids to take a wacky picture … in an unusual place, with a pet, sitting on a special chair, or cuddled up with someone. I hope that summer means that you can slow down. I know I need to slow down … and take some time to turn pages more slowly, whether it is on a eReader or an old fashioned book!
My middle daughter is so picky that she started her own blog on the things she likes. Getting her a book she likes for me is an education in getting reluctant readers to engage. Tonight at dinner she asked me to blog on her blog to drive traffic to it. Smart kid. I told her that she needs to put up 4 posts so that readers will know what her blog is about first. This is her second post but I changed the words to give you my opinion of why she likes the books since we have been reading partners all year.
