Asian Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Alvin Ho
This appealing series is a fun and funny read with great illustrations by LeUyen Pham that really make the book come alive. Look and Pham have a winning combination. Fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid can have another series to dig into! Hooray for that!
Predicting Newbery and Caldecott Winners
Ok. So these are not really the list of Caldecott and Newbery candidates for 2011 but School Library Journal Blog’s best guess… but I have feeling that they know what they are talking about. We shall see when the awards come out next year, but I’m betting they got quite a few correct.

I do love a good Top 10 List and this chapter book children’s book list for ages 10-14 (middle-school-girl-ish-give-or-take-a-year-or-two) from ChristinaReads is a really good one with her childhood favorites!
