Reading strategies for getting kids to love to read: Book Love by Melissa Taylor of Imagination Soup.
Thank you to everyone who sent in photos. I love seeing kids caught in the act of reading and hope that it inspires you to keep your kids reading this summer! I will be posting a slew of reading lists for anyone who needs inspiration while at the library. Thank you again everyone for your support for this feature! I can’t do it without you!
Yikes, I am almost out of pics of kids caught in the act of reading!!! Please, please, please take pity on me and send more to email@example.com. Thank you!
And thank you to the nice people who sent in photos for this week! I know two of them; middle grade author Karen Day and Mama C and the Boys whose excellent blog arrives daily into my email box! Thank you to readers Elizabeth and Hope for their cuties caught in the act of reading!
Yikes! I am almost out of pictures of kids reading! Can you please send me more?! Yes, you! The one reading at work! Yes, yes, yes, I am talking to you. You know, the one in the cute outfit! Thanks so much! Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m back from school vacation week and ready to resume my weekly features with a twist. They are now going to be weekly-ish. Yes, like the Ish! book by Peter Reynolds, a facsimile of the real thing because it turns out to be a frantic pace to be posting weekly. I’m assuming overwhelming for you, my readers too! 🙂 In the meantime, I am cooking up another idea for a blog children’s literature so please stay tuned…
Thank you to everyone who sent in pictures. I publish them in the order I receive them and I ALWAYS need more photos. What are your kids reading and can you catch them in the act of reading?! If you do, please send them to me at pragmaticmom.com(at)gmail(dot)com. Thank you!
Thank you again for contributing photos to this weekly Monday feature, Caught in the Act … of Reading. Thank you also to multiple photo contributors, Mama C and the Boys, and parents of Issie and Lucie. It’s really fun to see your children loving to read as well as making steady progress! And please take a minute to view the video of older sister Riley reading to her little brother. Blue Hat, Green Hat has never been more fun and how exciting that Riley can read to her brother and does it so nicely! I have to bribe my daughters to read to their little brother; they view it as a chore!
Thank you to everyone who sent in photos of kids Caught in the Act … of READING. If you would like go send me a photo, please email me at pragmaticmom.com (at) gmail (dot) com. I definitely need more photos. This week, it’s been fun to see some of these kids caught in the act of reading again and again! In other photos, older siblings are reading with their younger siblings which is so nice and rarely happens in my house but when it does, it’s a moment in time that I want to freeze and keep forever. What are your kids reading and can you catch them in the act of reading?!
This week’s cute kids caught in the act of reading come courtesy of There’s A Book, DesignTrackMind, My Library Tweets, and Nortina. Thank you! And if you have a picture of your child reading and would like to send it in, please email me at pragmaticmom.com (at) gmail (dot) com. I am posting the pics in the order that I receive them, so I will post all the picture eventually. And I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS need pics. If you send them to me, this means I don’t have to stalk my neighbor’s kids for photos. (Seriously, do I do that? Not yet, but maybe if I get desperate is the answer!)
