Summer Curriculum to Boost Your Child’s Confidence
Use the unscheduled time this summer to strengthen your child’s weaknesses whether it’s social, academic or creative. What does that mean exactly? I’ll illustrate with my kids:
Learn Alphabet in Spanish: Fun for Preschoolers!
Spanish Flashcards has a great post from the CleverLittlePeas. It’s a uTube video of the alphabet in Spanish. It’s fun for kids and best of all, it’s free.
Science of Tornados Experiment
My preschooler had this experiment set up in his classroom but when my kids were visiting for Pancake Breakfast Day, they would not stop playing with this. It’s a great way to demonstrate the science of tornadoes AND use up some recyclables. And this would be a fun and stress-free activity for the the summer.
FREE and FUN Web Game: Spanish Vowels for Kids
From my friends at Spanish Playground, a great FUN and FREE web game to learn Spanish vowel sounds. Thanks Spanish Playground!!!
Telling Time App for Kids
iPhone/iPad app, Learn to Tell Time, is not wildly fun as there is not crazy thumb action involved, but has layers of difficulty so it’s actually worth the money.
Simon Says in Spanish
I really like Spanish Playground which is a blog for learning Spanish that is geared for children. It’s on my blog roll in the footer. Here you can learn to play Simon Says in Spanish and learn parts of the body as well!
