Learn to Multiply in 5 MINUTES!
My youngest is going into first grade and he loves math. I asked him if he wanted to learn to multiply in five minutes and he said, “Yes!” And so we started reading the Sticks and Steps method of multiplication which is beautifully simple and visual.

I find that The Univ. of Chicago’s Everyday Math needs home supplementation, especially in math facts. I recommend Daily Word Problems and Singapore Math. We use these for summer math.

I remember how much I enjoyed a counting book with a twist. I do completely believe in the power of picture books to teach math concepts but I do need a little something extra as I am reading the book for the tenth time.
