It was a treat to see Tui T. Sutherland present at The Writers’ Loft. Her presentation was about writing so I thought the event was for adults. My son is a huge fan of her series Wings of Fire so I thought I would be sneaky and bring him along. He’s 13-years-old and has been on a few author events with me, but lately, his list of authors he wants to see consists solely of Tui T. Sutherland.
It turns out that I wasn’t the only one with this idea. The event space is small but it was full and half the audience were my son’s contemporaries, all well versed in the Wings of Fire series. A few of the girls sat on the couch near Tui T. Sutherland and participated in the Q & A session in an attempt to find out a few spoilers. That’s why my son was there too!

She shared some of her favorite middle grade books too. Though this is not a popular video with the kids, it might give her fans a few ideas of what to read while waiting for the next Wings of Fire installment.
Alternately, like my son, you can always re-read Wings of Fire! My son is also reading the Wings of Fire graphic novel series. He is a big fan of these too!

tui when you make books do you look for dragons that people want in your books because i am a huge fan!!! i started reading your books when i was in 2nd grade and i was i think probrobly the best i have no idea ( sorry for my poor spelling ) i have a dragon i made named rah ink and ink is his last name and his middle name is saber and you are the best and have a great christmas!
