Come travel the world with a taco and me
I promise the trip will be good
We’ll find out the secrets and stories behind
All of our favorite food

Our first stop is China where you wouldn’t guess
We’ll find the world’s first ice cream
Made from buffalo milk and just a touch of flour
It was an ancient delicious cold treat!

And what about pizza, let’s go get some
We can buy it by the pie or the piece.
I bet you thought that it was from Italy
But it dates back to the days of old Greece!

Then we’ll stop in India and that’s where
One more sweet treat will be clear
Although rice pudding is loved all over the globe
It started with a dish that’s called kheer (right here)

Oh my gosh! I need churros, put some chocolate on them
And then we will have such a feast
You might think that they came from Mexico’s land
But they are a dish from the old Middle East

So what’s in your lunchbox and what’s on your tray
There’s a story behind all we eat
Food that nourish can flourish wherever they go
