How To Coach Girls books are back in stock!

My publisher, Audrey Press, closed down last year, so the rights to my two books, How to Coach Girls and The Elusive Full Ride Scholarship, reverted back. Slowly but surely, all the copies of How to Coach Girls that I owned were sold through my website. (I still have a bunch of The Elusive Full Ride Scholarship: How to Play Sports in College). I wasn’t sure if I had the wherewithal to self-publish it, but then I received this email:

Can you tell me how I can get a copy of this book? I’ve looked everywhere I can think of and it’s nowhere to be found. All the reviews I’ve read say it’s the best book and I want to read it and gift it to one of my daughters’ head coaches who is starting her coaching career. from Jana

This email warmed my heart, so I hired Beam Studio to help me replace the ISBN number with one of my own. But then we discovered the Audrey Press logo on the back cover. And also on an interior page.

It got worse. Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing kept rejecting the PDFs of both the cover and the interior pages. Apparently, it hates pages with bleeds. No matter what we tried, KDP would not approve our book.

Finally, I remembered Ingram Spark, KDP’s competitor. Ingram Spark will also place your book on Amazon. What do you know, Ingram Spark had NO ISSUE with our PDF files. Unfortunately, it’s not as fast as Amazon in getting the book online for sale. (surprise! surprise!) This is because Amazon controls the approval process … It might take up to 30 days for How to Coach Girls to show up on Amazon.

In the meantime, I ordered books to sell on my website because I think I can get printed copies from Ingram Spark faster than Amazon can put my book on their website.
