This was such an interesting beach in Uvita, Costa Rica. You have to pay attention to the tides. At high tide, the water comes all the way up to the tree line, so there is basically no beach. The low tide, as shown here, means an expansive beach.
The beach also has a jetty that you can walk out on, but, again, you have to pay attention to the tides because this is underwater at high tide.
Marino Ballena National Park Uvita is part of Costa Rica’s national park system, so you do have to pay an entrance fee to enter. It’s worth it!
