How to make an Origami Fortune Cookie!

Let’s fold origami fortune cookies as an activity for my picture book, Fortune Cookies for Everyone! (Smithsonian): The Surprising Story of the Tasty Treat We Love to Eat, illustrated by Colleen Kong-Savage.

This is the true story of who invented the fortune cookie. Spoiler alert: it’s a mystery, and the reader gets to decide! [nonfiction picture book, ages 5 and up]

Fold an Origami Fortune Cookie!

To make origami fortune cookies, you will need round paper. It doesn’t have to be origami paper. You can also use any paper you want and create the round shape by tracing a round glass on it and then cutting it out.
