This year, Read Your World’s Giving Tuesday will support a Title 1 Elementary School in Waltham, MA. Imagine an elementary school that can’t have a book fair simply because the students are low income. Research has shown that owning books, especially books that reflect the reader, improves literacy rates.
Our fundraiser will donate over 500 diverse children’s books to these students. Your donation will help us host a FREE Book Fair for this school!
And your impact extends far beyond one school and also helps us to:
- Donate books to readers and classroom libraries across the United States.
- Provide book lists and classroom kits to help parents, guardians, teachers, librarians, and readers find the diverse children’s books that they need.
- Spotlight children’s book creators with our weekly IG Live Interview series.
Starting Giving Tuesday and running through Read Your World Day in late January, we’re changing the world one book at a time. Will you join us?
