My Husband and Daughter win a Golf Tournament Together!

It has been seven years in the making, and it’s finally happened! My husband and daughter won the Massachusetts Father/Daughter Golf Tournament Forward Division. The Forward Division is the lower division, but the trophies are the same size as the Champion Division (as my daughter noticed!). They played in five tournaments. One year was canceled due to COVID, and one year our daughter was abroad for college. Five times is a charm!

2025 Father Daughter Modified Scotch

Format: 18 holes. Teams of 2. Modified Scotch format. Selected Drives, Alternate Shot.

Eligibility: Open to two player teams of one father and one daughter. Open to teams with combined Handicap Indexes® up to 54.0. This is a first come, first served registration.

Forward Division

Tai & Ali Lee (Granite Links Golf Club) took home the trophy for the Forward Division with a 5-over-par score of 77. The duo played consistently, with a 3-over-par 39 on the front and a 2-over-par 38 on the back.

This season, Tai Lee has competed in the Four-Ball, and plans to qualify for the Senior Amateur and the New England Amateur Championship.

The pair have been competing in the Father Daughter tournament for five years now, but this is their first win.

“I play a lot of Mass Golf,” said Tai Lee, who competed in the Four Ball and the Senior Amateur and New England Amateur qualifiers this year. “But this is by far my favorite tournament, because I get to play with my daughter.”

Ali Lee’s Mass Golf experience, on the other hand, is only through the Father Daughter tournament.

“This is so special to win, we’ve been at this tournament for 5 years now, and it’s exciting, it’s been our goal this whole time,” Ali Lee said.
