It was a few weeks after the Paris Olympics and actually the Para Olympics were in full swing, but the last week of August was not very crowded. The last time I was in Paris, about five years ago, the wait for the Louvre was more than two hours. We were thrilled to discover that there was no line at all to enter though the museum was still full of people.

The line to see the Mona Lisa was also minimal and we were able to get a glimpse before wandering off in search of the sculptures. Both my daughter and her friend are graduates of Rhode Island School of Design and Renaissance art is not their favorite style. Still, we enjoyed the gorgeous architecture and the sculptures. And the fact that THERE WAS NO LINE!
