I'm No Longer Making Videos on Children's Books

To all the publishers and authors that have sent me children’s books to review:

I have made over 1100 short videos on children’s books on my YouTube channel over the past decade. Recently, I have had four videos flagged. Three were from Medicine Wheel Publishing. This recent one is from Web Capio for a video I made on Jonty Gentoo.

Web Capio offers bespoke anti-piracy services based on quality, and speed. This is achieved by having a team with over 20 years’ experience in protecting content for the creative industries.

Both Medicine Wheel Publishing and Web Capio flagged my videos without notifying me in advance, and sometimes did not even watch my videos before flagging them.

Here’s the letter that Web Capio sent me from Scholastic UK:

As a result, I am no longer going to be making videos on children’s books. In the past, I made a video for most of the books that publishers and authors sent me.

Going forward, I will try to review these books on my blog, but due to time constraints, I will only be able to cover a fraction of them.

There are dozens of videos that I made on my YouTube channel that are not public, as I only publish one video per day. I won’t be able to make these public, though you can view them on my PlayList. I will also will be posting collections of themed children’s books on my Instagram in order to give them coverage.
