My dear friend from Hawaii, Lori A., has a book club and they have been visiting presidential libraries throughout the country. I was so thrilled to show them the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in the Boston area.
The building itself is notable. It’s designed by MIT graduate I. M. Pei. The setting is also beautiful overlooking the ocean. I had been to the JFK Museum a few times, but this time I really paid attention.
My friends who have now visited eight or nine presidential libraries said that the JFK ranks solidly in the middle. They recommend the two, Ronald Regan and Richard Nixon in Southern California even if you don’t agree with these presidents’ politics. One of these has an actual replica of Air Force One INSIDE the museum!
