I am thrilled to announce a new picture book! Violeta Encarnación will illustrate Barbed Wire Between Us. 
I’m so lucky that this story speaks to her!
This is the picture book of my heart. I have been working on this for more than 5 years, trying to figure out how to structure the story. I am grateful to a Zoom library book talk during the Covid lockdown in Long Beach about Amah Faraway that reminded me of the “reverso” poem format.
The book releases in the fall of 2025 and Red Comet Press is the publisher.
