I used to take my mom to afternoon tea all over Southern California as a way of spending quality time with her. When my kids were very little, I brought them along as well and they were surprisingly well-behaved. The delicate China teacups all survived intact, despite tiny hands.
Now that my children are all in college, my daughters still enjoy the ritual of Afternoon Tea. It’s such a nice way to slow down. I researched Afternoon Tea in Boston and decided to check out the Wenham Tea House with my daughter and her boyfriend.
Here’s what we ate:
Our favorites were the sandwiches and the warm scones. We always get a little too full for the desserts. I liked how the Wenham Tea House is in a cute New England house, as opposed to a fancy hotel.
We are going to try out more Afternoon Tea locations in the Boston location. Sadly, Duck and Bunny in Providence, one of our favorites, and very close to where my daughter lives shut down during Covid. I think that was the only Afternoon Tea in Providence.
How about you? Do you enjoy Afternoon Tea as well? I’m also going to try to make one but a simplified version! Thanks for sharing your favorite Afternoon Tea spots or recipes!
