Amanda Hsieng-Blodgett
Amanda Hsiung-Blodgett is the founder of Miss Panda Chinese, an online Chinese language, and cultural resource that provides engaging and playful communicative teaching materials for parents and educators. She has been teaching Chinese and ESL for over 15 years and has extensive international teaching experience with children in Canada, Ecuador, Morocco, Taiwan, and the United States. Amanda will be moderating.
Ute Limacher-Riebold PhD
Ute is a Multilingual Language Consultant and Intercultural Communication Expert with a passion for languages and cultures. Her work includes being a Linguist, Researcher, and Author.
Frances Díaz Evans
Frances Díaz Evans is a Latina author and educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad del Este in Puerto Rico and a master’s degree in Spanish education from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She is the founder and writer of the multicultural, bilingual parenting website, Discovering the World Through My Son’s Eyes and Discovering Español a business dedicated to teaching Spanish online.
Yoshito Darmon-Shimamori
Yoshito Darmon-Shimamori is half-French and half-Japanese and was raised bilingually and bi-culturally in France. He is now a French and Spanish teacher in a secondary school in England and is raising his two sons to be multilingual, multicultural, and multi-literate. Yoshito helps Multilingual Pre-teens find their SUPERPOWER.
Anneke Vanmarcke Forzani
Anneke has been a language enthusiast since birth. In 2005, Anneke founded Language Lizard to make creative, effective, and fun language products available to promote language learning and support immigrant communities.
A first-generation American, Anneke has worked in Japan and the US in various marketing and international business development positions. She studied children’s writing and has experience teaching English to non-native speakers. Anneke has written articles related to early language and culture learning which have appeared in numerous blogs and online magazines, and has been featured on Public Radio International’s The World in Words. Anneke is the author of the children’s books Happy After All, Who Are We?, The Three Little Howlers, The Tree Little Sun Bears, and With Flying Colors: Color Idioms, and the teacher’s resource Building Bridges with Bilingual Books and Multicultural Resources.
