What happens when it gets really, really cold in Boston? Like record-breaking cold? My husband decided to test a TikTok video experiment of throwing boiling water into -6 degree Fahrenheit temperature air.
I filmed it in slow motion:
The next day, the temperature increased by nearly 59 degrees from Saturday morning, when it was -10 degrees out, to 38 degrees by the next day on Sunday afternoon!

Such a cool video! I’m glad it hasn’t been that cold here.
The funny thing is I live in MN and have never done this! I think because when it’s so cold there is also a lot of snow on the ground and we are over it. 😂 I think I will try is next year! We are just trying to stay above freezing over here for a few days at a time.
Hi Nicole,
We rarely get such cold weather here so it was fun to try this experiment. I know MN is a lot colder than MA!! Have fun doing it next winter!!
