There is an interesting article from TradingPedia about college enrollment and high-paying jobs. As a co-founder of Aquent, a marketing and creative staffing solutions company, I am fascinated by the world of work and how it’s changing. What are the Jobs of the Future? Let’s take a look.
The headline of the story is that college enrollment is decreasing.
No doubt, this is related to the skyrocketing cost of attending college …
… creating the student loan crisis for our young people.
But isn’t a college degree necessary to get a good job these days?
Not all high-paying jobs require college degrees, but some college degrees are more lucrative than others.
If I get on my soapbox, I would advocate for kids to find their passion and pursue a career that intersects with what they love and the skills that relate to it. I also encourage entrepreneurship, perhaps simply starting a side hustle and nurturing that into a full-time job, or even a global empire.
