As colleges acceptances roll in, this is an exciting time. But it’s also an excruciating time to make decisions. One big factor may be the cost of college, especially weighing in financial aid packages and comparing the true cost for each one.
Massachusetts Educational Financial Authority (MEFA) is a nonprofit that helps students and parents navigate the college planning process. They presented twice at the First-to-College Program, Transitioning Together, that I participate in as a mentor.

This information is helpful to see how much college will truly cost. If you are considering taking out private (not federal) loans to pay for college, MEFA has a college loan calculator that will show how much your estimated student loan payment will be.
