Today is International Literacy Day and I wanted to use this important day to support a cause close to my heart – education! Right now it is so important to support education and children’s learning. School the World, an international nonprofit organization is working in rural Central America to bring education to the world’s poorest children with the goal of lifting families out of extreme poverty with the power of education. Their work is super impressive and they have been doing really amazing things to keep children learning while schools have been closed in Central America for the last year and a half. These children have lost more school days than any other children globally.
They have no electricity, no running water, no digital resources, or even books in their homes. School the World has made remote learning possible in environments and regions that would previously be impossible. Today I am donating to School the World to give a BOOK to a child in rural extreme poverty and YOU can too! Just $10 goes such a long way. Swipe up to donate today OR check out their profile here (tag our Instagram profile) and give them a follow to learn more about the organization! “
You can also go the route — “Please help me support this organization by giving just $10 today to supply a book to a child living in extreme poverty.. $10 – the cost of your lunch today, your latte at Starbucks, or your monthly NetFlix subscription! You can give the joy of reading to a child today!”
