Please join Amy Tai and me for our fourth Multicultural Children’s Book Club. We host a FREE multicultural children’s picture book virtual book club on the first Thursday of every month from 7 pm to 8 pm EST.
September’s event will be held on September 2nd and we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) using A Gift from Abuela by Cecilia Ruiz.
As always, we will have:
- Book talk
- Art project
- Snack ideas related to our theme
- Surprise guest (popping in at 7:40 pm)
- Giveaway (Featured Book, Latinx Snacks, Art Project Sample + Art Project Materials)
I am giving away a “Multicultural Children’s Book Club in a Box” which includes A Gift From Abuela and Latinx snacks for a group. These are the favorite snacks of my Cuban American friend Bea Abascal. We hope you enjoy them!
I try these snacks for the first time here:
Amy will also give away her sample art project. I hope you will host your own Raksha Bandhan book club celebration! The winner for the Book Club in a Box will be selected from the participants who attended our virtual event.
For those who don’t know Amy Tai, she is a New York City public elementary school art teacher and she’s amazing in both facilitating a Zoom event and in her creative ideas!!
We hope you can join us in September!
