I’m thrilled to announce that on December 1, 2020, Multicultural Children’s Book Day will participate (for the first time!) in #GivingTuesday, a global day of celebrations and generosity.
#GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people worldwide to stand together in unity while also supporting causes that touch their hearts.
This Giving Tuesday, MCBD wants to rally our supporters, reviewers, authors, and sponsors to help us help teachers by sending a free book of their classroom bookshelf via our FREE Diverse Books for Classrooms. We have hundreds of schools waiting patiently for a multicultural YA, chapter, or picture book for their students.
How can you help? Go to our #GivingTuesday Page on the MCBD website and choose your level of giving.
Did you know that a $30 donation will help us get FIVE brand new diverse books into FIVE classrooms? Imagine the smiles. The joy. The gratitude. Imagine the awe and wonder when a young reader can “see themselves” in the pages of the book they are reading!
Join us on #GivingTuesday, and let’s rally to keep kids reading while lending a helping hand to one of our many unsung heroes: TEACHERS.
Go here to help us, help teachers!
It’s also not too late to sign up to get free diverse children’s and YA books from us. Sign up to be a reviewer here:
