My oldest attended Xtreme Week at Mass College of Art two times, as a freshman and sophomore in high school.

She also did the Drawing and Portfolio Development as a weekly class for two years as a junior and senior in high school. Mass College of Art’s extension programs are great for kids who want to improve their technical drawing skills. It really helped her!
Drawing and Portfolio Development (Grades 9-12)
This course focuses on drawing — the heart of a serious portfolio. Students develop drawing skills using a wide variety of media by learning how to draw from observation, memory, and imagination. Class time is also spent looking at how other artists found ways to express their creative ideas. For sophomores, juniors, and seniors this class will be an opportunity to develop work for your portfolio.
Here’s a peek at their week.

This sounds like an amazing program!
Hi Maryanne,
There’s a weekly version of this as well on Friday afternoons or there is this condensed version. I’m going to get my son to do the Xtreme Week this April.
