Mia Wenjen-
This is a remarkable website. Kudos to you. I do not recall you being into literature in college!! I am very very impressed.
I’m sure it is on one of your lists- but wanted to flag “The Front Desk” by Kelly Yang. Just read with my 5th grader and LOVED it.
Hope you are your family are doing well!
Thanks Stephanie,
Yes, Kelly Yang is remarkable. She went to Harvard Law School and graduated at age 20. Her sexual assault there is referenced in her newest YA book, Parachutes. The sequel to The Front Desk, The Three Keys came out recently. These two books are about growing up but with a more grim reality when her parents left the motel business in which they were being exploited.
By the way, did you know that Shaun Donovan from our freshman dorm is running for NYC mayor? It was recently announced. We should do a Hollis North fundraiser for him LOL!
