I am so thrilled to be doing Meera Sriram’s cover reveal today! A few years ago, I flew out to Palo Alto to meet the bloggers behind Multicultural Kid Blogs. MaryAnne of Mama Smiles hosted us. Leanna from All Done Monkey gave me a ride from my hotel to MaryAnne’s meeting venue. Kim Vij from The Educators’ Spin On It set up a Google Hangout to teach us about Pinterest. And it’s where I met Meera Sriram and Stephanie of InCulture Parent!
At the time I remember that Meera was writing for InCulture Parent as well as working on her own books. I’m so happy to take this full circle today with her book reveal!
The Yellow Suitcase by Meera Sriram COVER REVEAL!
The Yellow Suitcase by Meera Sriram
The Yellow Suitcase fleshes out the universal experience of loss, in an immigrant family, offering both a window into a culture and a mirror to many children. With an Indian-American protagonist, it also offers representation to children in several marginalized communities that don’t see themselves in the stories they read. More importantly, it attempts to open up important conversations among all children, caregivers and educators, around death, home, and love. [picture book, ages 6 and up]
So, are you ready for the cover?
Well, here it is…
The Yellow Suitcase is available for pre-order at your favorite indie store, and on Amazon and B&N. Order your copy here: IndieBound, Amazon, Barnes & Noble.
