BEST #OWNVOICES CHILDREN’S BOOKS: My Favorite Diversity Books for Kids Ages 1-12 is a book that I created to highlight books written by authors who share the same marginalized identity as the characters in their books.
Thanks so much!
Hi Mia,
This is a wonderful event. I am a high school librarian on Long Island, NY, and I plan to publicize Multicultural Children’s Book Day on January 25. I would love to find a poster that is age appropriate for our students (age 14-18). I feel we need more of this message in the teen years, or at least as much as at the elementary level. Perhaps some visual, PR materials for Multicultural Children’s Book Day can be created for teens in the future?
Thank you!
Ann Libbey
Hi Ann,
We have two posters this year, both with great messages. Perhaps our Poverty Does Not Discriminate would resonate with your teen students?

All the posters are free and downloadable.
