My girls fell in love with glass blowing after going to Dale Chihuly’s exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. They took glass blowing lessons to learn and now they are able to rent time at a glass studio to create glass art on their own.
We recently visited the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum in Seattle. If you get a chance to go, we highly recommend a visit. Here’s a video of our experience!
For those who celebrate, wishing you and yours a merry Christmas!
BEST #OWNVOICES CHILDREN’S BOOKS: My Favorite Diversity Books for Kids Ages 1-12 is a book that I created to highlight books written by authors who share the same marginalized identity as the characters in their books.
That does look fantastic; my youngest son and I became absolute fans of his work after visiting one of his galleries in Florida this past summer.
I didn’t realize his work is in Florida too! What part?
There is a small museum in St. Petersburg Florida. We were vacationing on Maderia Beach and it was just a 12-20 minute drive. Admission was included with the Tampa City pass we had bought and we just knew we had to see it in person.
If I am ever there, I will definitely stop by! Thanks for the heads up on that. It would be a dream to own a Chuhuly but now they are sooo expensive!
This place is looking beautiful. Thanks for sharing amazing picture.
I’m glad you like it too Sapana!
Love it! My alma mater has a large hanging Chihuly piece in the lobby of the library.
That must be stunning!
I absolutely love Chihuly’s glass work. I saw a huge exhibit in Columbus many years ago and was in awe! I hope you son enjoyed the trip.
Thanks so much Pat! It was well worth the detour to see it!
Wow–such stunning art! Thanks for introducing me to Chihuly’s art work!
I hope a Chihuly exhibit swings by your way!
This place looks amazing. I have a friend who does glass blowing. So beautiful!
If you go to Seattle, I highly recommend! Your kids will love it. I love that it also has outdoor space.
