Thank you to Basic Invite for sponsoring this post. My opinions, as always, are my own.
My boxing trainer is not a man of many words and doesn’t tend to share details of his private life so it’s up to me and my mom friends who have been training with him for over five years to extract this information.
Typically, we train in small groups of two or three, occasionally ramping up to five. Once in a while, though, it’s just one lonesome person. That was me last week. On my own for a one hour private lesson. It’s a great learning opportunity, but I like and need the rest period that one or two other compatriots provide.
Thus, my strategy to get a little more rest is to get my boxing trainer to open up about his life or wax philosophically about boxing and professional boxers. I found out quite serediptiously trying to figure out our boxing schedule for the month that he was chosen to be a trainer for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team that competes in the Pan Am and Olympic Games!
I was excited for him, but then I remembered that he’s about to have his first baby! The baby is due about a week or so after he’s scheduled to return from Colorado Springs from training camp. I hope the baby doesn’t come early!
He says that he and his wife — they were recently married and he also kept mum about this the day after he got married — don’t know the sex of their baby as they want to be surprised. I did that too for all three of my kids. It does mean that you need two baby name lists though. They have names selected but are keeping it mum until the baby is born.
I thought Basic Invite has some nice birth announcement cards that they both might like. This format works for boys or girls.
Baby Boy Birth AnnouncementI like these two also for gender neutral birth announcements.
Basic Invite is great because it has:
Almost Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. This is what we feel sets us apart from almost any other online stationery company and is what we feel is our biggest draw.
Custom Samples – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.
Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – Basic Invite is just as colorful with our envelopes as we are with our invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of our envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed.
Free Address Collection Service – Use our free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.
With so much going on, it’s nice to have a baby announcement resource that makes it easy to share the joyful news.

Love the announcements! I’m having baby #3 at the end of the year and I would love to do some announcements this time around 😀
This sounds like a great service! And congratulations to your trainer!
Thanks so much MaryAnne! He’s had a big month. He got married, trained the US National Elite Boxing Team, and now is waiting for that baby which is due in three days!!
