My husband learned this drawing game using numbers 1 to 11 in numerical order as a little boy growing up in Korea which is probably why I have never seen it before. He must have learned it really well because he whips it out whenever a restaurant that we are waiting at has brown paper and crayons on the table.
It’s a fun way to entertain the kids! Here it is:
Number 1: Draw it in the center of the page.

Number 2: Draw the number 2 right below number 1.

Number 3: Attach number 3 to the bottom of number 2.

Number 4: Make the number 4 with a long middle and a tiny vertical slash.

Number 5: The number 5 goes on top of number 1 SIDEWAYS!

Number 6: The number 6 drops down right below the end of sideways number 5.

Number 7: Seven goes on top of number 5. It’s sideways also.
Number 8: Where number 4 has the vertical slash, add number 8 sideways.

Number 9: Number 9 comes out of the number 3 like a pipe. Color in the round part.

Number 10: Draw 10 in the middle of the face. The one makes the eye brow and the zero is the eye. Can you see it?
Number 11: The number 11 is the smoke coming out of the pipe. Make the ones a little wiggly.
Do you see the face? Pretty cool, yes?!
If you want to see it fast, here’s a video I made:

What a cool way to play a game with numbers. I’ve never seen this before.
Thanks Patricia! My husband learned it in Korea. I’d never seen it before either!
