Thank goodness that school has not started for us yet. My son loves Percy Jackson and has read every word Rick Riordan has ever written and he would have lugged the latest Percy Jackson Greek Hereos book back and forth to school every single day until he finished it. That would be a feat for the gods, because this book weighs a lot!
He lugged Percy Jackson Greek Gods back and forth for a month and I thought he was going to fall over backwards because his backpack was so heavy. Rick Riordan, in a presentation, warned us that Greek Hereos is even heavier!
Percy Jackson Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan
Who cut off Medusa’s head? Who was raised by a she-bear? Who tamed Pegasus? It takes a demigod to know, and Percy Jackson can fill you in on the all the daring deeds of Perseus, Atalanta, Bellerophon, and the rest of the major Greek heroes. Told in the funny, irreverent style readers have come to expect from Percy, ( I’ve had some bad experiences in my time, but the heroes I’m going to tell you about were the original old school hard luck cases. They boldly screwed up where no one had screwed up before. . .) and enhanced with vibrant artwork by Caldecott Honoree John Rocco, this story collection will become the new must-have classic for Rick Riordan’s legions of devoted fans–and for anyone who needs a hero. So get your flaming spear. Put on your lion skin cape. Polish your shield and make sure you’ve got arrows in your quiver. We’re going back about four thousand years to decapitate monsters, save some kingdoms, shoot a few gods in the butt, raid the Underworld, and steal loot from evil people. Then, for dessert, we’ll die painful tragic deaths. Ready? Sweet. Let’s do this.

Hei!! I love Percy Jackson’s books! Is this giveaway international??
Hi Marty,
I’m so sorry but it’s US only.
Hate how Rafflecopter let me go through the first five steps of the Giveaway without letting me know it was US only. I don’t mind visiting your page though. It is really neat, but tweeting about a giveaway I can’t win is sad
Hi Aaron,
I am so sorry about that! The shipping is so expensive that it’s US only and APO.
no, I don’t have any favs
No problem! You are entered to win!
I like American Paint horses, but I don’t really think that was your question. We have not read any of these books, but I think they would be a hit in my house!
Hi MaryAnne,
Oops, you are right. Just fixed my question! Thanks!
I don’t have any favorites yet, but I do love the Percy books!
Hi DJ,
We love Percy Jackson too!
I don’t have any favorite pegasi books, but I really love Percy Jackson books! (maybe some select My Little Pony characters….there’s a world of possibilities…..)
Hi Beatrice,
Thanks for entering! Good luck!
I’ll have to say Bob.Where at the end Percy tells the stars Bob say hi, got me in the heart.
Hi R,
That part about Bob was so sad! Bob is a great character!
I have to say Frank because he’s as awkward as I am but I still love me some Percy Jackson.
Hi Maritza,
It’s hard to choose!
My favorite book in the series would have been the first book ever which is The Light thief because that’s where it all started! And my favorite character is Percy himself!
Hi Sui,
Thanks so much for entering!
My favorite character is Percy, he is dynamic and true and extraordinary! He is one of my all time favorite characters and I am thankful that I found this awesome book series!
Hi Ashley,
I love Percy too!! He’s one of my favorite characters of all time!
Shared on Twitter 🙂 thank you for linking up to #babybrainmonday x
Thanks so much for sharing Harps!
My son adores the Percy Jackson books and movies! I think his favorite is Son of Neptune. He has read all of them at least twice, some of them more. He has the giant Greek Gods book, too. If I could surprise him with this book he would just be in heaven. 🙂
Good luck!!
Wow! I’d love that backpack! 🙂
Hi A,
That backpack is cool!!! Thanks for entering! Disney Hyperion, Riordan’s publisher, has the best swag in the world for books! They really know how to market a book!!!
My wife and I are huge Percy Jackson fans. This would be amazing! Just in time for our first born to get here. Something to read!
Hi Myk,
Me too!! I love this series and pretty much all his series with mythology!! I’m glad you are thinking of your first born too! That’s great planning ahead!
My favorite Percy Jackson book was Battle of the Labyrinth and my favorite characters are Nico and Hazel!
Hi Deja,
Great picks!!
My favorite character is Nico… By favorite book is House of Hades
Hi Samantha,
I’m so glad Nico is well loved! He has such a great backstory as the series unfolds. He’s a very complex and interesting character and I loved how Riordan revealed his sexuality at the end.
I love Percy Jackson! Best book series ever!
Hi Caroline,
I agree with you!!!
The Titan’s Curse is my favorite book because I love the quest the characters go on, especially with the Hunters of Artemis. Needless to say, Zoe Nightshade is my favorite character 🙂
Hi Emily,
Love Artemis and her hunters too! And also the metal dogs that Reyna has.
The seven chosen heroes plus Nico are all my favorite characters, but Percy would be the top 1. He really makes me smile and my heart happy every time he\’s being \”cheesy\” to Annabeth. <3
Hi Yhen,
I love Percy and Annabeth’s relationship too!
My favorite Percy Jackson character is no doubt Annabeth. She’s incredibly smart, wise, and strong headed. She grows so much in Mark of Athena and House of Hades, I can’t help but admire her!
Hi Arleen,
She really gets tested in Mark of Athena but she’s so calm in the face of danger. I was impressed too!
If the Hero of Olympus series is included then I’d choose Mark of Athena. I choose this title because in the book specifically all the characters have a revelation or a realization of some sorts and I thought that was a really cool think for Rick to do!
Hi Logan,
Great choice!
My favorite book is The Titan Curse and my favorite character is Leo Valdez <3
Hi Joanne,
Love Leo Valdez too!!! I’m so glad things work out for him in the end!
My favorite character is Leo, he’s funny 🙂
Hi Claire,
Leo is funny!! Love that about him!
Annabeth! I’ve always identified a lot with her, seeing as we have so much in common. I love her!
Hi Lynette,
She’s a great character!
My favorite book of the series would have to be The Lightning Thief.
Hi Alyssa,
Love that one too! It was the book that got me hooked. I ended up ordering the series and pulling a two day binge reading session over the weekend to read the first series! It was heaven except for the lack of sleep!
hi!! i’m from El Salvador, but my aunt lives in Florida so, i really want this giveaway!!!8(>0<)8 I really really love percy jackson and i don't have a fav book, because i love all the books and the story and the characters( but my favs are nico and percy and leo<3<3.<)8/ please please please!!
Hi ValeGB,
Good luck! Great picks!
my answer to the question. its hard to pick a favorite character. really like nico. im a fantasy nerd so i like all their powers
Hi Bryan,
They all have cool powers!! Nico is a crowd favorite which makes me happy!
I’d honestly have to say that my favorite character is Nico Di Angelo just because there are so many layers to him. Also I thought that his character development throughout both Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus was beautifully crafted. He’s very 3-dimensional, and I really loved and enjoyed following his story along with all of the other demigods. As for a favorite book, they’re all so fantastic that I can’t bring myself to choose. (:
Hi Georgia,
I can totally relate to the difficulty of choosing a favorite. I’m glad that Nico gets a lot of love from readers as their favorite character! It’s an easy choice to pick Percy since he’s kind of the star but I agree that Nico is more complex and interesting. What he’s gone though too…wow! Two lifetimes of experiences including loss and pain.
My favorite character is Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Rachel shows that even being a mortal you can still be powerful. Rachel is brave and although she is not one of the main characters still plays an important part in keeping both Percy and Olympus alive.
Hi Addie,
Great pick! I loved how she could see through the mist and I’m glad she seems like she might be in future books!
im not sure that i can choose a favorite
Hi Leah,
It’s not easy, that’s for sure!
