Percy Jackson GREEK HEROES Giveaway! #ReadRiordan

Percy Jackson GREEK HEROES Giveaway! #ReadRiordan

Posted on August 14, 2015May 12, 2024 by Pragmatic Mom

Percy Jackson pack

Thank goodness that school has not started for us yet. My son loves Percy Jackson and has read every word Rick Riordan has ever written and he would have lugged the latest Percy Jackson Greek Hereos book back and forth to school every single day until he finished it. That would be a feat for the gods, because this book weighs a lot!

He lugged Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods back and forth for a month and I thought he was going to fall over backward because his backpack was so heavy. Rick Riordan, in a presentation, warned us that Greek Heroes is even heavier!

Percy Jackson Greek Gods

Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan

Who cut off Medusa’s head? Who was raised by a she-bear? Who tamed Pegasus? It takes a demigod to know, and Percy Jackson can fill you in on all the daring deeds of Perseus, Atalanta, Bellerophon, and the rest of the major Greek heroes. Told in the funny, irreverent style readers have come to expect from Percy, ( I’ve had some bad experiences in my time, but the heroes I’m going to tell you about were the original old-school hard luck cases. They boldly screwed up where no one had screwed up before. . .) and enhanced with vibrant artwork by Caldecott Honoree John Rocco, this story collection will become the new must-have classic for Rick Riordan’s legions of devoted fans–and for anyone who needs a hero. So get your flaming spear. Put on your lion skin cape. Polish your shield and make sure you’ve got arrows in your quiver. We’re going back about four thousand years to decapitate monsters, save some kingdoms, shoot a few gods in the butt, raid the Underworld, and steal loot from evil people. Then, for dessert, we’ll die painful tragic deaths. Ready? Sweet. Let’s do this.

There is also an Activity Kit for GREEK HEROES!

Hate how Rafflecopter let me go through the first five steps of the Giveaway without letting me know it was US only. I don’t mind visiting your page though. It is really neat, but tweeting about a giveaway I can’t win is sad

If the Hero of Olympus series is included then I’d choose Mark of Athena. I choose this title because in the book specifically all the characters have a revelation or a realization of some sorts and I thought that was a really cool think for Rick to do!

I’d honestly have to say that my favorite character is Nico Di Angelo just because there are so many layers to him. Also I thought that his character development throughout both Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus was beautifully crafted. He’s very 3-dimensional, and I really loved and enjoyed following his story along with all of the other demigods. As for a favorite book, they’re all so fantastic that I can’t bring myself to choose. Hi Georgia,
I can totally relate to the difficulty of choosing a favorite. I’m glad that Nico gets a lot of love from readers as their favorite character! It’s an easy choice to pick Percy since he’s kind of the star but I agree that Nico is more complex and interesting. What he’s gone though too…wow! Two lifetimes of experiences including loss and pain.
