Huge Board Book Giveaway: Kid Lit Giveaway Hop

Posted on May 12, 2014May 16, 2024 by Pragmatic Mom

I love the Kid Lit Giveaway Hops! It motivates me to do spring cleaning. Today, I am sharing and giving away a pile of adorable board books! If my kids were younger, I’d be selfish and keep them all for myself.

What’s in Your Purse? by Abigail Samoun, illustrated by Nathalie Dion

What could be cuter for a little girl? A purse board book that snaps open and has five more purses inside it with interactive flaps to open! This makes a wonderful gift too! [board book, ages 2 and up]

Peek-a-Zoo! by Nina Laden

Peek-a-Who? is one of our favorite board books. Nina is back with a sequel to her wildly popular cutout board book which allows the young reader to guess at what is coming up next. We love her books! [board book, ages 1 and up]

You Are My Baby: Ocean by Lorena Siminovich

This is a clever concept! TWO board books in one; one board book is of the baby animal and it’s embedded within the larger parent board book! Then, you read both books at the same time.

You play in the swaying seaweed. (big book)

You are my baby, little sea horse. Swish! (little book)

The illustrations tie in both books together. Very well executed! [board book, ages 1 and up]

Daddy Wrong Legs by Nina Laden

Another Two-in-One board book! With daddy animals on top and matching animal legs below, you can read it straight up or make it into a silly game by mismatching the legs. I think the point is to mismatch, actually! [board book, ages 1 and up]

Creature Numbers by Andrew Zuckerman

Zukerman’s lovely counting book will have your toddler counting and learning about animals. Despite very few words on each page, there is a lot to talk about! A lovely way to learn about wild animals. [board book, ages 1 and up]

Creature Colors by Andrew Zuckerman

A single color complements the photo of an animal. The name of the color is also in that color and the photos capture the animal in an active position. It’s simple but engaging and perfect for toddlers! [picture book, ages 1 and up]

I would love to have these books to add to our day care library. I change the books every week and the kids come in on Monday and go right to the books to see what is new. The kids in my care are all toddlers or younger and love being read to and looking at books independently in our book center. It is amazing how even the youngest babies love looking at the picture.
