Angry Birds Space Hogs on Mars K'NEX giveaway

Angry Birds Space Hogs on Mars K’NEX GIVEAWAY

Posted on December 2, 2013May 19, 2024 by Pragmatic Mom

K’NEX toys have worked wonderfully to keep my son off screens, if only for a short time. I found this in the living room, after hearing my son and his middle sister, PickyKidPix, playing together for a few hours. They don’t get along that well, so this K’NEX roller coaster is a miracle of collaborative play! This is what they built:

roller coaster K'NEX building toy

Usually, the first round of play with a building toy like K’NEX involves following the instructions to the letter in order to duplicate the photograph. After that, anything goes.

I’m not sure why my son chose the busiest corner of the kitchen — between the sink, the dishwasher and the stove to set up camp, but I’m just happy that he’s off screens!

I asked him to pose with his finished piece and so he did. This is what it is like to raise a boy. A lot of potty humor!

Even though my son played with the K’NEX roller coaster sets quite happily, he insisted that the giveaway be the Angry Birds Space set. He was a big fan of Angry Birds a few years ago until he finished all the levels on most of the apps. The marriage of apps and K’NEX is a good one!

My grandkids are still small so they like the basic lego building block sets and toys that accompany them.

Looks great! My daughter would love these! 🙂 Her favorite building toy(s) are actually cardboard boxes – she designs rooms with them, blankets, and Legos.

      Hi Cool Mom,
I love that your daughter uses cardboard boxes to build! It is the best toy ever — so versatile and you can write, color or paint on it as well!

You know what is funny? I shared this with my daughter after I commented and she says, “Mom, aren’t these K’nex?” and pulls out a bin of them. Oh, YEAH, that’s right! Thank you, Lancaster Science Factory for allowing us to buy them by the weight! I TOTALLY forgot we had some – they ARE fun to use. And you are right, the best part of cardboard boxes is the painting and decorating! Have a wonderful weekend.

          Hi Cool Mom,
That is a great idea to buy them by the weight!!! Do you kids still use them? That’s so fun you have a big supply of K’NEX at a great price! We used to buy recycleable plastic or cardboard pieces from The Children’s Museum by the weight. Another man’s trash is our treasure!!

🙂 She only purchased one small group of them. It is enough to make a car and some other misc. modern art. She uses them once in a blue moon now but they made the downsizing cut and let me tell you – not many things made that cut!

I am all over this giveaway! Thanks so much for the chance to win. My son has another Angry Birds K-Nex set, but he loves lego and Tinkertoys. But honestly, he’ll use anything to build things with like rubber bands, popsicle sticks, dominos, jenga blocks… oh and duct tape! lol

What a fantastic giveaway. Yeah, my kids use the busiest area in the house to set up camp as well. Actually, that area is where I am – so I guess they love to be underfoot. However, I know what you mean with anything that keeps them off screen.

Great job your son did with his building.

And, oh, I do love the pose. Very original.

Also love the wood floors in the kitchen. A definitely dream of mine.

Have a great day and thank you for the lovely post and giveaway!

We have one of the other K’NEX Angry Birds sets that my son LOVES – and we picked up our firest (secondhand) set of traditional K’Nex this past weekend – love at first sight for Johnny!

Legos and play dough are the other really popular toys in our house – plus dolls.
