BEST #OWNVOICES CHILDREN’S BOOKS: My Favorite Diversity Books for Kids Ages 1-12 is a book that I created to highlight books written by authors who share the same marginalized identity as the characters in their books.
Great ideas, Mia–thanks for sharing them! My favorite to give is always homemade cookies in nice cookie tins.
Happy Holidays!
Hi Maria,
Homemade cookies are the best! I love receiving them as gifts but am tol lazy to make them!
Wow! This is an impressive collection of gift guides!
Thanks MaryAnne,
I didn’t create any new gift guides this year so this is just my list of gift guides (slightly updated) from past years.
I always love your gift guides- you give the best ideas. And thanks for the clove oranges reminder!
Thanks Jeanette,
The older I get, the less I want so I didn’t do any gift guides this year. Instead, I just put my old ones on one post with a few updates. As my kids get older, their lists get shorter and shorter as well (and weirder). PickyKidPix is totally into hair styling so her list is very specific to her and not to most kids her age. Grasshopper and Sensei’s is mostly Apple electronics or accessories. My son wants only Minecraft toys which barely even exist.
What about your kids? Do their wish lists get longer or shorter?
I loved our gift guide brain storming sessions! Agree, lists are more specific now – clothes, tech stuff, and love the arty kid guide 🙂
Hi Nancy,
We will have to come up with a different spin for gift guides next year! It was so fun creating them with you in years past. Maybe next year will be less hectic! (Famous last words!!!).
