Homemade Gifts for Cats That Kids Can Make!
Capability:Mom has great ideas on gifts for dogs and I researched cat gifts in my post last year. I thought I’d find homemade cat gifts this year so I researched exhaustively on Pinterest.
Make Your Own Catnip Mouse
Martha Stewart has this image on Pinterest but I searched and searched on her site but could not find the link. So, use this other post for the How To but the image for inspiration.
You could make this cat climbing tower yourself or buy it from Frontgate. I’d attempt to make it out of cardboard boxes because it’s $300 at Frontgate!
That’s what I’m talking about! DIY cat toys made from old socks that kids would enjoy making!
I used to make a simple toy for my cats as a kid. It’s simply a wadded-up ball of paper attached to a string. I’d pull it along the floor and my cats loved it! Sometimes simple is best. And homemade is even better! Happy Holidays! How is your shopping going?

Love this. Can’t wait to see your Friday post. Ho ho ho.
Hi Susan,
I wish I had a cat to make a toy for! If we have time over vacation, I’d like to bring old towels to an animal shelter and we could bring those easy sock toys for the kitties! My kids would love that!
Thanks for the great cat gifts – homemade, no less! – and for taking a tour of cute cat things on Pinterest – fun research!
Hi Nancy,
Who knew it was so easy and fun to make cat toys? I love Pinterest for learning about cool crafts to make instead of buy!
Oh no, I haven’t started yet. I am usually almost done by now but things are crazy this year!
BTW, what is catnip, is it a drug?
Hi Ann,
I have done frantic internet shopping with presents stashed such that I have no idea what I bought for everyone and if it’s even or not. Plus I need teacher gifts plus gifts for those who help me. Phew! And mom friends. A some stocking stuffers. I am way behind!
This post is a great resource! I’m looking forward to exploring your blog more! Thanks for linking up with Pimp Your Pinterest 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting Pimp Your Pinterst blog hop Shannon!
Fun ideas! We are strictly a no pet household, but if my kids could have one pet they’d choose a cat. Homemade is best for those finicky animals who seem to snub anything purchased! 🙂 Thanks for linking up!
Thanks Anna!
We don’t have a cat either. My husband is very allergic. I need to find DIY dog toy ideas since we do have a Golden Retriever. Thanks so much hosting the linky party!
