Rising 2nd Grade Summer Math Review
Congratulations! You are in the final stretch of departing 1st grade summer math review (a.k.a. rising second grade math). This is the last week! What did your child enjoy the most: the problems, the web sites, the books or the board games? Please share what worked or didn’t work for you. Thanks!
My son definitely enjoyed the math games on the websites the most.

Monday, August 27
Roll two dice and add them. Record your answer. Do that 25 times. What sum did you get the most? (2 virtual dice here).
Tuesday, August 28
Open up a book to any page. Write down the number of the page. Is it odd or even? Add 1. Is the new sum odd or even? Try it again.
Wednesday, August 29
30 – 10 =
70 – 10 =
10 – 10 =
40 – 10 =
90 – 10 =
Thursday, August 30
Try some pattern block activities here.
Friday, August 31
How many times is the digit 2 written on the dates in the month of August.
Saturday, September 1
Practice counting money. Ask someone in your family for a handful of change and count it or go here.
Sunday, September 2
Write the numbers between 38 and 45.
Monday, September 3
How many days have you been on vacation?
Tuesday, September 4
