Rising 2nd Grade Summer Math Review
We’re almost done! Just over one week of summer math review to go! In doing [most] of these math problems with my son, I realized a few things:
- He needs to review the months of the year as he keeps skipping the month of May.
- He doesn’t know our home phone numbers or our cell phone number.
- He doesn’t know our zip code or what a zip code is.
- He thinks we live in Boston. We do not.
- He still needs to learn to ride a bike. Ok, I didn’t get this from the math review, but it’s reminding me that he needs to learn.
p.s. The other weeks are here: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, Week 8, Week 9.

Thanks for the math review!!! These are fun!
Also like the confession. I think it is cute how my son counts 24, 25, 60! It will be a little less cute next year! We need to learn to ride bikes to. I went out with the kids recently and almost threw up I was so out of breath and my daughter was so afraid she was in tears!
Blissful-e is teaching her kids on the grass in the backyard. I keep meaning to try this – good idea!
Hi Ann,
Thanks so much for sharing that your kids are learning to bike too. I feel like a bad parent for not getting my nearly 8 year old to learn to ride a bike!
