Rising 2nd Grade Summer Math Review
How is your summer math review going? Do you find your child likes online math games or board games with math concepts better? How about math in animal picture books? Maybe math apps are the way to go?
If you are like us, we like to churn through a math workbook to earn a prize. Anything goes and everything helps to prevent summer math slide. Please share what is working or not working for you.

Monday, August 13
Mae’s birthday was July 27th. How many days ago was that?
Tuesday, August 14
Get 10 pennies and put them under a cup. Take some out and ask someone how many are left under the cup. Take turns.
Wednesday, August 15
Show 50 cents using pennies, nickels, and/or dimes. Record your answer and share it with someone in your family.
Thursday, August 16
Play your favorite game for adding two numbers that = 10. Go to either Math Lines from 7/7 or Number Twins from 7/16.
Friday, August 17
5, 7, and 12 are three numbers of a fact family. Write the two addition and the two subtraction facts for this family.
Saturday, August 18
Roll a dice three times. Record each roll. Write the smallest and the largest three-digit number you can make with those three numbers. (Can’t find a die? Use these virtual ones.)
Sunday, August 19
19 + 1 =
39 + 1 =
99 + 1 =
199 + 1 =
999 + 1 =
