Kids Favorite Books as Selected by Kids
The finalists for the 5th Annual Children’s Choice Book Awards, the only national book awards program where the winning titles are selected by children and teens of all ages, are in! And YOU, the reader, determine the best kids’ books! There are books ranging from picture books, graphic novels, early chapter books to chapter books for ages 4 through 10 or grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. Please vote and have your kids vote too!
Voting opens online March 14 at bookweekonline.com and runs through May 3.
Winners will be announced live during the Children’s Choice Book Awards Gala on May 7 in NYC. For the first time this year, footage of the entire ceremony, featuring award presentations by kid lit heavyweights Jarrett Krosoczka, Marc Brown, Mary Pope Osborne, S.E. Hinton, and many more will be available in its entirety on the CBC site on May 8. Host a Gala viewing party in your school, library, bookstore, or home!

I did not know about these awards, but I’ll go vote with my daughter after school. Very cool stuff.
To Craftwhack,
It’s really fun to vote! I hope your daughter enjoyed it! Some great books on the list.
Ohh! Will have to mention this on the school blog!
To The Brain Lair,
Thanks so much for telling the students at your school. I think it will be fun for them to vote for their favorite books!
Thanks God this books exist. Without them i would left with stupid cartoons…which strangely kids really like..but i dont blame them – they take everything new as right and legit…
To Cindy,
I hope you have time to get your kids to vote for their favorite books. My kids loved the idea that their vote counts for a book award! No one asked them before.
