Fill in the Blank Thank You Notes

Easiest Thank You Notes for Kids

Sometimes the hardest part of a birthday  or present-receiving holiday is the thank you cards afterwards! We insist that our kids write thank you notes. Sometimes it’s the only way their relatives who don’t live nearby know that they’ve received their gifts!

I think it’s ok to use notes that are easy to use like these from Excited2Learn. True, a ten-year-old can’t get away with these, but Exited2Learn has cute note cards for the older set too like these teddy bear cards!

What a great idea. Where were those when my kids were little? But the Grands would love them.

Love your blog – stumbled across it by accident, and read it religiously. I often go straight to my library’s website and put on hold books you suggest! Loved the idea about the kid friendly thank you cards – how perfect! keep up the great work,

If I die tomorrow, knowing that my children know how to show appreciation will be one of my greatest accomplishments. I have my seven year old write them for every gift received. It’s extremely important for children to show gratitude. These cards are a great tool.

    • Hi Dana,
I am in total agreement with you! If kids are not able to show appreciation, I worry that they will never feel satisfied. It’s a painful process to extract the thank you notes out of kids, especially when writing is slow going for them, but well worth it. The notes that make it easier are so helpful! I posted today on thank you notes (very simple ones) that we made to thank the guests at my son’s birthday party. It took 2 sittings to get them out so that wasn’t so bad. Today, we need to do Christmas thank yous! ugh!
