My son eats Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish Crackers crackers every single day for lunch and snack. He doesn’t ever seem to get tired of them. He likes all the different flavors but the Flavor Blast is his favorite. It’s a little messy though, especially since he prefers to eat with his hands.
This year, I am also packingWet Ones® Singles in his lunch box. They smell great and are gentle on his skin. I like it because Wet Ones® Singles kills 99.9% of germs, my son can enjoy his lunch, his way — eating with his hands.
And when my son is done eating his lunch, he can wipe down his lunch box with the Wet Ones® Singles. It will clean up the crumbs and make his lunch box smell great!
For some new ideas for his lunch box, I am turning to Everyday Bento by Wendy Thorpe Copley. She takes the traditional Japanese concept of bento—a single meal packed at home in a reusable container—and Americanizes it.
Wendy has 50 bento meals in this cookbook with fun themes and easy step-by-step instructions to recreate each bento box. I will probably mix and match different elements from the book to make my son’s lunch this year.
How about you? What are your favorite things to pack for school lunches?
