eBay Collections to help The March of Dimes

I’m glad to be participating in eBay’s collections to raise money for the March of Dimes. The goal is to celebrate the potential in all. Everyone is born to be something great, don’t you think?!

ebay collections march of dimesHelp eBay reach their goal of raising $25,000 for March of Dimes this month by helping to create 25,000 eBay collections. For every collection created, eBay will donate $1 to March of Dimes!

This is my collection: #ImBorn to be Empowered Through Boxing

I’ve been fighting against racism lately and I think that training in boxing has kept me in this wearying fight.  So … to celebrate the potential of being an activist against Anti-Asian racism in high school musicals, I have selected some momentos to remind me to stay focused in the fight.

Here are some of the things I’ve selected:

#ImBornto be empowered through boxing

My husband gave me Norman Mailer’s book, The Fight, which chronicled this classic fight in Zaire. Two titans of boxing! This banner is a momento from that right that rocked the world.

Nicolino Locche was known as “El Intocable” (“The Untouchable”) due to his defensive mastery. He was the most amazing boxer ever to slip a punch. I’d love this cover to frame for a rec room.

I’m a huge Manny Pacquiao fan and I’d wear this t-shirt to work out. Boxing, of course.

There’s also a sweepstakes for you! Everyone who curates a collection with the #ImBornTo hashtag meeting entry requirements will be entered for a chance to win a $5,000 prize.

One (1) Grand Prize: An eBay Collection shopping spree valued at $5,000. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $5,000. Prize funds to be awarded as a transfer to the winner’s PayPal account. (see official rules)

For every collection created, eBay will donate $1 to March of Dimes! I hope you will join me in raising money for the March of Dimes!

Thanks for the post and I’ve read your interesting article about Anti-Asian racism at high schools musicals. There are so many good musicals to choose from, so it doesn’t make sense for a high school to pick up a musical that offends or might offend some students and their parents. And I encountered this bias when submitting my Chinese-American novel (set 80% in China) to literary agents. Some of them told me bluntly that it’s difficult for them to sell a Chinese based novel to American book publishers. That’s the reality. But the good news are that American “Whites” are on decline and will be the minority in less than 20 years. So with time all these Anti-minorities racism is going to fade. And mix marriages help. Just look at the Chinese American wife of the the CEO of Facebook. Best wishes in raising money with your Ebay collections.
