Seek and Find Picture Books for Kids
My son and I love Seek and Find picture books. We even find things to find in picture books where the items are somewhat secret. Picture books that are also games make reading interactive and fun!
Look! Another Book! by Bob Staake
My son loves search and find books and we both fell in love with Look! A Book! a few years ago. His new book is equally wonderful!
Staake’s delightful artwork include die-cuts in the shape of different size circles highlighting details of his illustrations. We also like the rhyming text that tells you what to find. There are 125 things to find in total.
Once you go through the book, there is a flap that lifts up towards the end of the book listing more items to find and count: 1 panda, 2 lions, 3 canoes, 4 pumpkins, 5 teapots, 6 big pencils, 7 soccer balls, 8 ghosts, 9 robots, 10 slices of cake, 11 blueberry bagels and 12 green books. This is the tricky part because the items are scattered throughout the book but it makes this Seek and Find book last longer since it’s impossible to remember where everything. Each re-read is still challenging and fun!

I hate Seek and find books as I stink at it! Honestly, I can never notice the most obvious things. I tend to focus on the graphics, or the story and then the little ones laugh at me for being so lame in it!

Finding the things in the Seek and Find books can be tricky but it sounds like you have fun doing them with your kids and I bet your kids LOVE it that they are better at it than mom!

Please let me know if your grandchildren like it! I think they would! My 8-year-old son loves this too even though he is reading chapter books. I love that it has wide age appeal.

Bob Staake’s books are awesome!!! We love them! My 8-year-old son was so excited for the sequel and he’s really into Percy Jackson right now, so I was glad to see that Seek and Find picture books still appeal to kids as they get older and read “harder” books.
