4th of July Celebration Ideas
I love Pinterest. I’ve discovered that I am a digital hoarder of things that I am not good at. These pins inspire me to be better at crafting and get generally more into the spirit of holidays. Yep, my Pinterest boards are me in my fantasy world of Martha Stewart-like perfection.
I picked the recipes that seem manageable and a few are downright easy. I may even attempt for the 4th of July next year!
Hoosier Homemade has an incredible board of fun 4th of July food ideas including this Berry Trifle.
This is a fun and not too difficult 4th of July breakfast from Lacey.
If you need a craft idea, here’s a gorgeous wreath!
I found the perfect chic outfit too if you are going to a fancy party. It’s from Zara, but no longer available. Let it serve as inspiration. Stripes, red accessories and white shoes.
If you need to bring something to a buffet, this fruit kabob platter is easy but makes you look like a rock star.

Hi Dr. Rajka,
Happy 4th! I didn’t execute any of these ideas though I just like to look at them. Maybe next year! How about you?
“…digital hoarder of things that I am not good at.” So apt. This sums up Pinterest. Boom.
1. I LOVE that dress and you have broken my heart since it is not available.
2. We are making that fruit flag today! And by ‘we’ I mean Fen and Christian. He actually found this image somewhere online and posed it as a father-daughter project for today.
Happy 4th!
Hi Artchoo,
No way! That’s so cool your husband will make it with your daughter! Please post on your fruit flag kabob — I’m sure it will turn out beautifully! So sorry the dress is no longer available. I should do the People Style thing and find you similar dresses. I will if I run across any! And yes, Pinterest is dangerous addictive and feels productive somehow.
Love the waffle flag and the outfit – so cute!
Love your fun post today!!!
Hi Ann,
Thanks so much! Artchoo says the dress is no longer available! :(. I think I could handle the waffle flag even (if I had a waffle iron).

Hi Vanita,
Hope you had a great 4th! So glad Damian liked the Dinosaur book. I found that Kaleidoscope book that I was supposed to send you in a pile as I was cleaning. I’ll send you that as well. Your toddlers will like it!
I love that waffle idea. So cute!
Hi Andrea,
I am tempted to buy a waffle iron just to make it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
