The Fight Against Cancer Continues
Because my aunt died of cancer too young. And my mother had breast cancer. And my childhood friend had cancer too. And my neighbor had it twice. And my real estate agent is a survivor. And my daughter friend’s brother had it as a child. And I’m sure there is more.
Yes, there is.
My husband’s best man had cancer in the elbow that sidelined him from the Nike Tour. Two of my kids’ teacher’s aides had cancer and couldn’t work anymore. They were in their twenties when they were diagnosed. My mom friend had surgery to remove it from her thyroid just last year and she has two young boys who need her. And I can’t forget my brother-in-law who had skin cancer removed right before he sat for the California Bar exam.
