Family Fun Magazine Summer Fun Ideas

Summer Fun Ideas from Family Fun Magazine

FamilyFun magazine has been celebrating its 20th anniversary with a fun, year-long initiative for families, appropriately titled “Badges of Fun.” The year’s initiative is coming to a close, but the fun isn’t over yet! The May issue spotlights the “Get Active” Badge, which is all about staying active and healthy while having fun with whole family —  just in time for summer!

SHARE YOUR FUN:  Families are encouraged to share print (or tear out from the May issue) a custom display poster — perfect for the fridge — to show off your “Get Active” badge and remind your kids to stay healthy and active!

I found some great fun activities for kids on their site! And for summer picnics, they have some great Summer Meals Under Wraps ideas.

Our homemade noodle rings can be used to play a host of games, including catch and human ring toss.

They also sent me a box of supplies for a myriad of fun: sidewalk chalk, jump rope, bean bags, and paint.

Check out magazine for some great summer fun activities.

Sidewalk Chalk Ideas: 4 Square, Hopscotch, Tic-Tac-Toe, Shadow Capture, Family Portraits, Chalk House.

See my Pinterest board for recipe for Sidewalk Chalk Paint. I have more summer fun ideas for kids here.

Love that magazine! You can make those noodles rings?! So cool. Is there a link for that?

    • Hi Ann,
I was glad to be reminded of Family Fun Magazine again! I stopped reading parenting magazines a while ago but I miss them! Let me find you that link to make noodles. I thought I included it. It actually might be easier to buy them though. They are pretty inexpensive. I remember that post and you make them from cardboard …
