Go Daddy

One Thing You Didn’t Know About Me & Win 3 Years Hosting with Go Daddy!

Why Go Daddy is My Go To

I didn’t know a lot about blogging when I started my blog two years ago. If my blog ever melted down, I called my blog template company. If I ever had an issue with blog speed home page loading, I’d call my hosting company. I was lucky that I hosted my blog on Go Daddy!

I called often. “My blog is running too slow,” I’d whine. They would run a diagnostic and invariably it would be one of my plugins. Yet Another Related Post  was the culprit once but it’s since running fine now.
Here’s one thing you didn’t know about me: I’m an idiot-savant with the tech stuff but I can fake the talk.
“Maybe the node is running slow,” I’d suggest to the nice customer service guy. “Can you please check it?”
He or she would kindly check it while I sat on hold; I didn’t dare get off the phone. It wouldn’t be the “node” whatever that was. Who the Bleep knows where I picked that one up?
“Perhaps you need a different caching plugin,” they’d ask nicely? Or, “Your plugin seems to causing your problems,” they’d muse.
I had done my idiot savant research on caching plugins which was namely to do a Google search and read a few posts. Then I’d madly try them all out; activating and deleting along the way while running diagnostics using Website Speed Test  and Pingdom.
I tried a few. WP Super Cache was a nightmare. Once it was installed, it was impossible to delete completely. I had to hire someone to do that. And W3-Total Cache didn’t speed things up enough.
It was a Go Daddy! manager that seemed to have that secret and mysterious knowledge of backend blogging that is like the holy grail. “Try Hyper Cache,” he suggested. As a guy who is the Go To for thousands of techy questions a day, he’s seen all kinds of trouble and fixed it. So I tried it. And it worked.
That’s the thing about Go Daddy! support. They are award-winning for a reason. Always polite. And Very patient (and I can attest to being a trying customer). And best of all, they actually fix your problem. Even if you were the culprit! Thank you Go Daddy!
Did you know Go Daddy was recently honored as the 2012 Customer Service Department of the year by the Stevie Award for Sales and Customer Service and is a finalist for the IMCI Global Call Center of the Year Award.
I think I knew that intuitively!

Nice to hear that a giant company can still have such a great customer service department. What a great giveaway, Mia!

Godaddy definitely has great customer support. I do wish they had a bit more experience with WordPress. They helped me as much as they could on Friday, but in the end, I was left to figure out for myself that they’re uninstall operation wasn’t uninstalling all of my old wordpress files which was why i was unable to log in to a new install. I have a great idea in mind for a new site and free hosting would be awesome! Am I entered?
