Combating Winter Dry Skin with L’Occitane

Dry Winter Skin Banished with L’Occitane

Whenever I am at the mall, L’Occitane stops me dead in my tracks with a welcoming waft of lemon and lavender. It smells like sunshine and flowers and I find that I can’t resist going in. I was pleased to find that they have a new line of brightening, anti-aging products for face care. Now that I am staring down 50 in a few years, I am much more interested in anti-aging, brightening products than ever! My pick would be this and the UV protection is an added bonus:

L'Occitane UV Shield, brightening, anti-aging serumImmortelle Brightening UV Shield SPF40, $54

I also like organic skin care products after a very green Mom Friend from MIT warned me about parabens. My dermatologist told me that I had dry skin and now, after reading her blog post on dry skin, I am more motivated to moisturize. Based on the yummy scent, I like this lotion:

L’Occitane Lotion Hydratante, Beurre de Karitè (Extra Gentle Lotion for Hands & Body), $20

Our Northeast winters also are brutal for hands. One of my Mom Friends swears by the L’Occitane hand cream because it smells heavenly, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel greasy. She passed it around and we all agreed that we need this!

L’Occitane Shea Hand Cream, $28

I really like Olay Total Effects. I got samples attached to the newspaper (I think) years ago and really liked it!

Definitely interested in trying the hand lotion you recommend – my hand are cracked all the time; right now I use Vaseline!
